Good Morning Chiangmai News

Dear David

Delighted to see you back again, equally so that Dr Suvit supplied such encouraging grist for the mill. I hope we can meet up some other time - I was also an ardent backpacker - Bangkok in 1967 (Thai Song Greet Hotel) on the way to Aussie, and came to Chiang Mai first in 1969.

Thanks for coming to the Calendar Launch - and for the feature on your web site. If it is possible, it would be great also to include the calendar web link at http://chiangmaicalendar.googlepages.com

All the best and a bientot
Basil McMall.

Good Evening David,
Congratulations on an excellent report! Backpackers still welcome in Thailand!
Wish the Good Doctor Suvit was going to be around in the same capacity after the General Elections. Can only hope that his expertise will be appreciated by whoever takes over.

Cheers,
Muzza.

“In Chiangmai and the north of Thailand, we are very fortunate to count several magazines and newspapers oriented for the international readers. While this variety of publications provides the local community with lots of reading pleasure and information, ‘Good Morning Chiangmai NEWS’ certainly stands out for the quality of its articles.
It is a pleasure to read it every month. I wish you a great 10th birthday, hoping to read your magazine for another 10 years (at least).”

In the south he witnessed a shooting, saved the life of the victim and gave evidence which convicted the would-be killer. Photo: Ian Cruickshank).

“Happy anniversary to ‘Good Morning Chiangmai NEWS’!
It’s always interesting to read news from Chiangmai on www.gmorning.info when I’m far away from my favourite Thai city. It keeps me up to date with the events there. The good and bad news of course. I loved the coverage of the flooding last year, very impressive. Special thanks to David for this excellent coverage.I wish you all another 10 good years.”
Patrick, (now back in Europe for a few months, until the end of the rainy season!)
